MYKONOS

Luxury Yoga Retreats in Mykonos, Greece

MYKONOS

The queen of Cyclades situated in the middle of the Aegean sea. A top worldwide summer destination for jetsetters, where island life meets luxury. Mykonos gives you the opportunity to merge with the vibrant beach life or release your senses to the harmony of the Cycladic nature. The island has a rare landscape of sculptural light brown rocks which give a unique golden colour to its famous beaches.

According to mythology Mykonos was created when Hercules was fighting the Giants and, having killed them, he threw them in the sea where they petrified and turned into huge rocks, forming the island of Mykonos.   Furthermore, Mykonos  is just a 45-minute boat ride from Delos, one of the most sacred sites in Greece and a UNESCO heritage area. Delos, still adds to the island's zen and a day tour visit is a must on our retreat.

FYKIADA LUXURY yoga RETREATS INVITES YOU TO DISCOVER THE MORE GENTLE AND SERENE SIDE OF MYKONOS WHICH IS FAR LESS KNOWN BUT SURELY EXISTS.

KYTHNOS

Yoga Retreats in Kythnos Island, Greece

KYTHNOS

Kythnos is considered to be one of the last Cycladic islands unaffected by the impact of mass tourism. Its pure Cycladic style can be felt through the warmth of local people, the simple way of life, the traditional well kept-architecture of the villages and the absence of big complex-hotels.  In most areas the 1,000 residents of Kythnos keep living on their traditions.

Kythnos has been probably named after its founder Kythno, king of Dryopes the first tribe that inhabited the island. A second explanation of its name is the origin of the word "kefthmon" meaning a dark, deep place where one can disappear. The latter version might refer to the natural properties of the island during the late antiquity: shadowy woods, deep valleys and caves.

KYTHNOS HAS A SPECTACULAR COASTLINE OF 100KM WITH OVER 70 BEACHES MANY OF WHICH STILL UNTOUCHED.
