KHETANYA HENDERSON | Antiparos island, GREECE

| 4-9 September 2026

We’ve always dreamt of a retreat that combines the worlds of Pilates and Yoga - structure & flow. We have invited Khetanya Henderson founder of KKRU Pilates Studio & Wellness for a six-day retreat that blends classical Pilates, yoga, breath-led walks, and sound healing, as always, under the expert local care of Fykiada.

practice

Some mornings will begin with silent, breath-led walks through the island landscape to bring presence and clarity.

Morning movement sessions will rotate between: Classical Pilates to build strength, alignment, and control, Vinyasa yoga to create heat, flow, and expansion, Pilates sculpt and dynamic flows to ignite the body’s inner fire.

Afternoons will be introspective and deepening: Yin yoga for deep tissue release, restorative sessions to calm the nervous system, free-flow movement to explore intuitive expression in the body, and sound baths under the stars guiding the body into rest & integration.

the teacher

Khetanya Henderson is the founder of KKRU Pilates Studio & Wellness, and a third-generation classical Pilates instructor, mentored by Amy Taylor Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segel of The Pilates Center, whose lineage traces directly to Romana Kryzanowska and Joseph Pilates. With over two decades of devotion to the study of movement, her background includes dance, Feldenkrais, the Alexander Technique, and Laban movement analysis. Her classes focus on breath activation, functional strength, and intelligent, purposeful movement.

our island home

A collection of private homes, separate but part of a union: open terraces, reading nooks, endless views, a spacious shala on top, and a beautiful patio by the pool for our long shared meals. A private shelter, dedicated exclusively to our retreats to secure privacy and quietude.

Our resort is blessed with the privacy and serenity of the hill - just a 15min walk from the sea, and the vibrancy of the southern beaches of the island. Complete with a brand new stonebuilt shala with flowy curtains and an overwhelming view of the Aegean and the Ancient Sanctuary of Apollo that lends us its mythical energy.

nourishment

Food in Antiparos is what we call in Greek ‘evdaimonia’= the joy of the spirit. Is described as food for the soul, the subtle body and the eyes. Food prepared by our retreat chef with deep knowledge of Greek culture, macrobiotic nutrition and respect to the land.

Freshly baked bread, colourful salads, fresh fruits, nourishing microgreens grown on our counter, homemade kombucha, and all the traditional recipes you want to try from the hands of a local. Our retreats offer a morning snack, brunch & dinner while tea, coffee, fruits and delicious leftovers are in abundance the whole day.

a glimpse of our days

Our days are based on flow. Imagine morning swims, open terraces, long sharing tables, homecooked meals from a knowledgeable mama, a shala washed in sun and thyme, hands sink in dough, clay, sand – an experience that is rooted in island traditions & soft living.

We tend to keep our mornings silent, our practice rigorous, our afternoons lazy & salty and our evenings sweet & restorative. A retreat life leaving you with a perceptive that endures.

  • Vinyasa, Yin, and restorative yoga practices

take me there

Even though Antiparos is a separate island, it depends on its big sister Paros for connection to the rest of the world, thought the ports of Pounda and Paroikia. Paros is very well connected to Athens in two ways:

by air: Direct flights from Athens take less than 40' and are currently run by two airlines, Aegean Airlines and SkyExpress.

by ferry: fast and efficient ferry services connecting the main port of Paros (Paroikia) with Athens run year-round, and with even greater frequency in the summer months.

Crossing from Paros to Antiparos: ferries depart from the main port (Paroikia) as well as Pounta. They generally run every 45 minutes to 1 hour in the summer months. The actual crossing takes 5min from Pounta and 30min from Paroikia and tickets can be bought on the ferry - no need to book in advance. For an up-to-date schedule click here.

From Antiparos port, transfers are included in the retreat cost.

We advise our guests to allow one day prior and after the retreat for their travelling and book flexible or refundable plane tickets. You may use ferryhopper.com to check the ferries schedule and book your boat tickets online.

*Flights and boat tickets are not included in the retreat prices mentioned above.
