THE EXPERIENCE

Welcome to your personal Greek-island getaway! We’ve saved a special blue corner for you at the edge of Kythnos where you can safely unwind, relax and rejoice. Zoe-Maia & Effie, are a dream teaching duo, and combining the best of the worlds of yoga & pilates will make you feel aligned, stretched and awakened within your body. A carefully crafted schedule of daily practices will be accompanied by a holistic experience of healthy Greek food with the best seasonal ingredients prepared by our in-house chef. This is an exclusive retreat for an intimate group of 10 people who will enjoy ultra-personalised care both in their practice and nutrition.

The serenity and wild beauty of Kythnos provides the perfect set to kick off your summer. Get ready to choose from a variety of activities such as sea-kayaking, hiking, village strolls, thermal springs and whatever your heart desires to feel free again!

THE PRACTICE 

Here’s to the perfect exercise combo! Our Pilates and Yoga classes are designed to offer you a complete exercising program of strengthening and flexibility to feel aligned and connected. Zoe-Maia will teach a series of Pilates classes starting with the pilates essentials of right body posture and alignment and smoothly progressing into more strengthening and toning exercises tailored to fit all levels and individual needs. Zoe’s classes are both dynamic and innovative, offering a fresh perspective on different exercises that really work to achieve positive results to improve posture, flexibility, and core strength.

Effie’s classes will be a blend of yoga styles drawing on Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa and Meditation. She will use specific alignment yoga practices to improve patterns in the way we hold our body and creative sequences to become attuned to our energetic body. The classes will take place in large outdoor covered areas of the villa as well as at the beach, and wherever nature offers a great platform to experience body and mind in unity.

* All practices are open to all levels from beginners to more advanced practitioners.

THE TEACHERs

Zoe-Maia: Zoe-Maia is a qualified Holistic Health Coach and Balanced Body Pilates instructor. She began to study Pilates after years of falling in love with the practice and learning first hand of its significant benefits to both the mind and body, following years of burn-out during her previous career in the corporate world. Zoe’s classes are designed with both physical and mental wellbeing in mind, using conscious dynamic exercises which focus upon developing core strength, lengthening and toning all muscles to promote improved posture, balance and alignment. She is exceptionally passionate about sharing the powerful benefits of Pilates, and continues to train and teach in London’s top studios and around the world with kindness and support to all levels and abilities.

Effie Dima: Effie is a 500RYT yoga & meditation teacher, who guides others to move freely with their body. She has a background in dance and ballet which gives a graceful flow into her classes, and a playful variety into her asana sequences. Effie works with with groups and individuals alike, and leads yoga seminars and retreats in Greece and beyond. Her classes are accessible and offer clear, nurturing instruction on precise alignment and breath awareness. Effie is passionate to bring yoga and mindful movement to her students and help people to feel good within their body, as a first step to self-love.

  • Diving at the beautiful seascapes followed by relaxing time at the thermal springs (extra cost | optional)

  • At the Beekeeper’s: Visit Kythnos best honey-maker and his beehives, and find out everything about the world of bees.

  • Photography walk: Stroll around the old village of Dryopida, visit the cave of Katafyki and taste local pies

  • Shiatsu massages and therapies

HEALTHY MEETS local greek FOOD

We like to give a healthy spin to typical Greek recipes combining what’s in season with what’s on offer to each island we visit. Our Kythnos retreats are catered by our private chef and nutritionist Sabrina Chorafa who’s a creative maven in mixing modern with traditional techniques and fresh ingredients. Our menu is a balanced selection of juicy salads, Greek herbal blends, tasty smoothies, healthy snacks, tones of fruits, and delicious homemade meals. We strive to bring the best from Kythnos local producers, such as fresh fruits, herbs, thyme honey, eggs and capers. Sabrina cooks from the heart and loves sharing her art (her food workshops are always a hit!). We promise that you will leave the retreat feeling lighter, brighter, happier and with a slightly different approach to food.

TRAVEL INFO

Fly to Athens International Airport (code AIA) and then take a boat to Kythnos island. The island can be reached only via boat either from the port of Piraeus (code PIR) or Lavrio (code: LAV).
